Dan-Yr-Ogof

Ian Deakin studies the amazing straw stalagtite formations in Cloud Chamber, Dan-Yr-Ogof, South Wales. The entire roof of this enormous chamber is covered with clouds of delicate crystal white straw stalactites. This chamber is well beyond the tourist areas of Dan-Yr-Ogof and only acesible after an epic journey swimming across lakes, crawling through tiny passages and a hideously dangerous climb. However the amazing formations are worth all the effort.
