The beach near Dyrhólaey

Dyrhólaey is a notable promontory of land on the southern Icelandic coast. From the top there are fantastic views along the black sand coasts with massive rocky outcrops protruding from the beaches.

Taken with a Canon EOS camera with a 24-85mm zoom lens at about 50mm using a polarising filter on colour negative film. Somehow the drama of the black sand beaches is more intense in black and white.
